Welcoming the Spring with Clare’s Green Candidate
Election candidate R.G. and her campaign team invite you to welcome the spring with their ‘Gig for Garvey’ on Saturday, February 1st. Local artists Luca Bloom, Susan O’Neill, Steo Wall and DJ John are coming together to mark the Inagh woman’s bid for the Dáil and to get the green message out to the public. With such a short time to run this election campaign this fundraising event gives people a chance to engage with their local Green candidate and join the ever- increasing green community around the county. ‘The surge of support for the campaign has been very heartening and I am hounoured that these musicians are performing on my behalf’ Councilor Garvey said.
Asked why he was giving of his time for Councillor Garvey Luca Bloom said ‘I am singing for Roisín because she is exactly the right person to represent County Clare in Dáil Eireann. She has a love for her county and its people but she also sees the bigger picture regarding all our futures. We have to change the way we live on this earth and Roisín is driving that change’.
The ‘Gig for Garvey’ will take place at the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis on Saturday, February 1st at 8.30pm. Tickets are €18, €15 for students and unwaged.
